Overview
Sahtak is operated by Byteex. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account details (email, display name); health profile (gender, age, height, weight, goals, activity level); food preferences and allergies; meals you log, including text descriptions and any photos you upload; weigh-ins; and basic usage and device information needed to run the service.
How we use your information
To build and adjust your meal plan, calculate calorie and macro targets, estimate the nutrition of meals you log, track your progress, send the reminders you enable, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.
AI processing & service providers
To estimate nutrition and generate plans we send relevant inputs (e.g. a meal description or photo, and non-identifying profile context such as age, goal and daily targets) to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. We ask for your explicit consent before any of this is sent, and OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. We use Supabase for authentication and our database, and Cloudflare for our API and photo storage. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, or by emailing us. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, plans, logs, weigh-ins, photos and login are erased and cannot be recovered.
Your rights
You can access or correct your information in the app, export a copy on request, and delete your account at any time. For any privacy request, contact us at support@byteex.co.
Children
Sahtak is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will update the date below and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
